• Students need to arrive at school in time to prepare for an 8.30 am start to formal lessons. Students will go directly to Mathematics classes at 8.30 am and the attendance register will be marked at the start of this class.

  • We have set up an on-line FCI shop to lessen the collection of money at the start of the school day.  A link is available on our website payments page.

  • Mathematics and Literacy classes are both scheduled from 8.30 am to 10.25 am. We are aiming to protect these two blocks so students are involved in uninterrupted teaching time.

  • Some topic related Literacy lessons will also be timetabled across lessons during the remainder of the school day.

  • Formal lessons will end at 2.30 pm and students will have 15 minutes of homegroup administration to end the day.

  • Students may leave the school at 2.45 pm. They may also choose to catch up with teachers and/or wait for 10 minutes to pick up siblings from Wakaaranga or wait to catch the school buses. If an earlier pick up time is inconvenient for you there is no need for you to change from your current schedule.

  • Sports practises, cultural activities and clubs will still be scheduled during lunch breaks. Some of these events may also be scheduled to begin at 2.30pm.

  • Choir will be from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm on Tuesday

Orchestra will be from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm on Wednesday
    Kapa Haka
will be from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm on Thursday

This will allow students to participate in all three of these cultural events.

  • If you need to take your child to an appointment we see the 2.30 pm completion of formal lesson as an ideal time to get away early and avoid the Auckland wide school traffic.

  • This slightly earlier finish will allow students to catch the public 'city bus' which leaves our closest school bus stop at 2.55 pm.

  • As all teachers will be remaining in the school we will be encouraging the students to spend time after 2.45 pm clarifying their learning and chatting with teachers.

  • Teachers will discuss the full timetable at the Meet the Teacher Meeting which is scheduled for early in Term One.
