Our Vision

The Farm Cove Intermediate School community strives to ‘Reach Out’ and work collaboratively across the school, within the wider community and as global citizens. Our students are empowered as learners. They are provided with opportunities to develop academically, socially, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Their learning comes to life as they are engaged in authentic inquiry based experiences that promote the attitudes which we value. Our values include friendliness, cooperation, integrity, respect, enthusiasm and persistence.

Principal’s Welcome
We recognise adolescence is a time of transition. We foster independence and support our students to develop their own sense of identity. We actively encourage our students to ‘Reach Out’ and work collaboratively across the school, within the school and wider community and as global citizens.
Our Learning
Farm Cove Intermediate School adheres strictly to the NZCF (New Zealand Curriculum Framework), and staff maintain an ongoing review process to ensure the needs of students are being met. Staff also attend courses and continue to upskill themselves professionally to ensure quality teaching and learning is taking place at Farm Cove Intermediate.

The Secretary of Education has directed that schools in the Auckland region must close for physical attendance and instruction until Tuesday 7 February. Although this is disappointing news, the health and safety of our school and wider community has to be the main priority.
Tomorrow morning our senior leadership team will discuss the logistics of what this means for our community, staff and students.
We will share a plan via email tomorrow afternoon. Thank you for your patience.
Stay safe.
