Extension and Enrichment Programs

Extension Programmes

High achieving students may be selected for our daily extension classes.  We provide extension classes in:
 
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Science

 

All students have opportunities to compete in regional, national and international exams and competitions such as ICAS, Kids’ Literacy Quiz, English and foreign speech competitions, Mathex, Australasian Problem Solving, Mathematical Olympiad (APSMO), NIWA Science Fair and EPro8.

Enrichment Programmes

Students who require extra learning support may work with a Learning Assistant in the Area, and attend enrichment classes in English (ESOL) and Mathematics.
